I'll look it up on youtube. Or wait... is it the song you're learning to play now? The super creepy-awesome one?
Have you heard the Prokofiev Toccata? It's by Sergei Prokofiev! Oh my gosh that song is so demonic, I love it! You should type in Claire Huangci on you tube, and hear her play that piece.
Haha we are such nerdssss but that's okay. :) I love Liszt, his pieces are so expressive.
What other composers are your favorites?
My favorite piece that I've completed is Funèrailles. It sounds so spooky and demonic. :D
I LOVE Liszt! :)
Unfortunately the only two pieces I"ve completed by him so far are Gnomenreigen and Waldersrausch from the Two Concert Etudes S145. I'm dying to play more!! How about you?
I've played opus 12 too, but I never finished it because I got bored with it so I moved on to Feux Follets by Liszt, and the on to Mazeppa by Liszt.
i should, i should, i should! :)
i've only played the "opus 10 no.12" etude... "revolutionairy", i believe. i need something easy for the hand span, though, because my hands still only reach one octave, and i'm 16! :(:(
Ah, thanks for that. I'll take it to heart. Seriously, sometimes I just slaack like crazy until I fall into this rut of not practicing nearly as much as I should. :/
When it's something I really want to learn, I usually just keep saying this to myself: "I want to perfect this piece." and I just sit down at the piano and keep this perfection state of mind.
Ooh, also:
I hope you don't mind, but you being one of the resident cB musicians... ;p HOW do you find the motivation to continuously practice?! I keep falling into this phase of getting new music, practicing like crazy, then giving up midway. :/
